“Life can feel overwhelming at times. Past traumatic events can cause you to get “stuck”. These memories influence your feelings, thoughts and beliefs about yourself.
Putting those traumatic or troublesome memories in the past where they belong, makes you “free” to experience the present and your future.”
Modiule was born in Australia and moved to Germany in 1995. She is a mother of two adult boys and have worked with families and individuals for the past 25 years in Germany. She brings a range of knowledge, skills and lived experience as a Deaf woman to her clients. She uses an integrated approach utilising different evidence-based Theories of Counselling and Psychotherapy. This flexible approach enables the Counselling experience to be tailored to her clients individual needs.
She uses “behavioural forms” of therapy which are usually short-term, and solution-focused and a "psychodynamic approach", a more long term therapy focusing on the client’s background-history, current life experiences, challenges, strengths, and goals. This approach helps clients build both awareness and confidence so they can find new and more helpful ways of responding to others and challenging situations.
